Scott grew up in Leshara, Nebraska and has farmed his entire life raising cattle and growing row crops. After trade school, he moved back home to start farming on his own while also helping his dad, Harvey Cernin. Scott and his wife Julie have been married for 20+ years while raising 3 children. He loves the electrical field and currently works at LES in Lincoln, Nebraska on top of farming. Scott is involved in his local community township helping to keep roads safe and up to date. Although work keeps him busy, he enjoys spending time with his family including his grandchildren Ruthie, Risa, Berkely, and Kayden.

Lizzy is the youngest of Scott and Julie's children. She has helped her family on the farm her entire life while working multiple ag jobs including ag research at UNL/ENREC. She is currently studying Animal Science and Agronomy at Northwest Missouri State University. While at college, Lizzy is a farmhand at Birdsell Farms in Stanberry, Missouri helping with row crop and the cow/calf operation. She was recently Certified for cattle A.I. and hopes to continue her career in the animal science industry after college and move back home to carry on the family farming tradition.
